belated birthday hooichin, chuileng and lean

There was supposed to be a gathering for HooiChin, Lean, ChuiLeng, Karen, Ranjini, Jasvin, Winnie, JunLynn, Alan, LipHoo, PeiShing and me.

After many many delays, we've finally decided that today will be the day! but still, Winnie, JunLynn, Peishing, Alan and Jasvin couldn't make it! =(

The plan was 11am. sunrise pizza hut. And as usual, everyone was late except me and Lean. argh!

ChuiLeng arrived awhile later and we had a shiok sendiri photo session.



ohhh We are going to celebrate ChuiLeng's (12 July), HooiChin's (14 July), Lean's (22 July), and Jasvin's (1 June lol) very belated birthday too. but Jas ppk-ed us.. =( The plan still moves on anyway...

Not long after that LipHoo and HooiChin arrived. I managed to take a photo with the three belated birthday girls!



After Karen and Ranjini arrived, we quickly ordered our food. Then the three belated birthday girls opened their presents.

Our pizzas, soups and breads arrived. We ate, we chatted then we laughed like there's no one else in the restaurant! We were extremely full... maybe due to angin masuk perut too much!

Then the cake comes.



We embarrassed ourselves singing birthday song to the three of them! Because to me, a birthday without a birthday song doesn't feel right! Even if it's belated!

alain delon watch

My watch died on me many many months ago. I've been living on borrowed watch from aunt/mum since then. But last saturday, I decided to get a new watch.

The new watch must:
- Be good enough to survive for the next 10 years. lol
- Must be steel type. I prefer that than leather straps type.
- Budget around rm200

I went over to to the shop my family always gets our clocks and watches: Tong Eng, located at Komtar.

Mr Ang, the owner is a very good man. He always recommends watches and clocks that are value for money and seriously last for many many many years.

Mr Ang recommended the brand Alain Delon and I took his advice. Furthermore, both my sisters have been wearing Alain Delon watches for more than 5 years and they are still perfectly good condition.

After a few tries of watches in different designs, I decided to get this.



It's wholly stainless steel so it would not turn black even if I sweat alot. The glass is sapphire so if I dropped it, there wont be any scratches! The design is simple. It's a good watch for everyday wear! And it should last me for many many many years! PERFECT! thanks mum cause she paid for it! muaks

So, see me in this watch for the next 10 years!

St Anne

took a ferry ride to Butterworth on Friday evening and met up with HooiChin there.

she then took me to my craving for months : TOMYAM!!!! had an awesome dinner. Then we went over to St Anne together with HooiChin's parents.





This is the first time I experienced St Anne Celebration. The place was not very packed yet as the real day is Saturday.





We made our wishes and light those candles.

Bon Odori 2009

It's been many many years since i've been to Bon Odori!

Started my journey from home at 6pm and fetched Lean along the way. Before we even arrived Esplanade, the roads were already so jam! Our car moved like tortoise along the queue!

After the jam, finding a parking space is another problem! It was around 6.30pm only but the parking were already full! And there were many cars searching... oh no!!!

After a few rounds, Lean and me spotted a free space! But there was a portable hawker stall (self create word) beside the space and took nearly a quarter of the free parking space. No wonder cars just drove pass it. We thought we were so lucky! hahaha The space was quite small! I even doubted whether it's enough for my Kancil. Lean and me decided to give it a try because if not, we would have to round more rounds, or park much further....thus walk much further...

In the end... TADA!!! We were lucky afterall ;D

Then we started walking towards Bon Odori. When we reached, WOW! Less than 1 hour and there's soooooooo manyyyyyyy peopleeeeeeeee already!

I then called HooiChin but she didnt pick up. So I left her a message to call me back when she arrived. Lean and me went to buy tickets. RM20 per booklet! *sobs*



We then started to have a look at the stalls. Can plan what to buy later also. hahahaha

There were all kinds of food. Japanese of course, western, local food.. etc. And expected, they were EXPENSIVE! RM20 would buy me nothing that can make me full. Luckily I'm smart. I took some bread before I came. hahahaha

Both of us had a look at every stall available. So we know where to get food, where to play games. We even know where has less people so that we can sit down to eat our food later. Smart leh??

After a whole round, there's still no news from HooiChin. So Lean and me decided to buy some food first. We also decided to share our tickets. In that way, we can have more food, more variety. We are tham jiak monsters!

Buying food was.... horrible! We have to squeeze to the front of every stall to get our food. No squeeze = No food. Being polite and courteous is not gonna work in Bon Odori! So, we squeezed squeezed squeezed squeezed squeezed our way in for survival! FOOOOOOD!!

HooiChin then called and we met up with her. WanTing came along too with his little brother, Jien.

We quickly went over to the game stalls. We wanted to play the game where they give you a string made of paper with a hook at one end, and we have to scoop up japanese balls from a pail of water. But by the time we managed to squeezed ourselves inside, no balls left! T_T It was only 8pm at that time!

We then went over to the other game where they give you a small net made of paper, and you'll use that to scoop up goldfish(es). Jien played and he managed to win a goldfish!! It's his treasure for the night ever since!!

Then we went for food hunting again.

After everyone bought their dinner, we went over to the tables locatted by the beach and enjoy our expensive dinner.

Halfway through, the waves were so strong that it hit the wall and splashed some on land. Thank goodness there were people behind us and blocked us from getting wet. ngek ngek ngek

After dinner, we still have some coupons left, so we decided to walk around again, and spend it all.

YiWei then called that she's in Bon Odori too! We met up with her and she invited us to dance the Japanese dance along with her. That time we were having drinks on our hand plus our legs were so tired already. So YiWei continued to enjoy the dance while we just stood there looking around.

Not long later, it was time for fireworks! Everyone countdowned together! 10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1!!!


It was a lovely 5 minutes display for fireworks! Everyone just stood still and admired them. And we were so near that it feels like they are about to fall on us...

After the fireworks display, Bryan called and said he has finally arrived at Bon Odori. So we told him where we were and we met up.

After meeting up, we said our goodbyes and left. On our way back, we saw some fan and they were RM1! So Lean and me bought one each.

Walking back to the place we parked our car was tiring. And we jammed our way home too.

But I had lots of fun today. Everything was worth it!

most of my classmates last sem are now taking different papers for ACCA. i only have ChuiLeng and JunLynn taking paper P1 and P2 with me. not that they are both bad, they are great in fact! it's just that class is so boring, so dead now with just a few people (P1 - 4 people, p2 - 6 people).

it's really 100% concentration!
at the bright side, i guess my tuition fees are very worth it now! LOL

i miss my classmates!


then high school friends. most of them left for their uni outside penang. only a few left here. it's really sad that a big gathering would be difficult as everyone would have different holidays, coming back to hometown at a different timing.

i miss my high school friends!


i know people come and go.
it's just part of life.
but i guess i'm not ready to accept it yet!
i dont like changes. i prefer to stay in my comfort zone.

kl trip 11-13 July 2009

Went down to KL with my family last weekend. our mission is to shop, shop and SHOP!!

We started our journey on early saturday morning. 4 hours of music randomly playing in my iPod along the way. we stopped by at Sungai Buloh Jejantas Restaurant along the highway for lunch. Mum's friend mentioned before that the satay there are quite nice. so we decide to give them a try. So, Kajang Satay for our lunch!!

We didnt order much as we werent very hungry. 20 cucuk for 4 people. They're nice! I love the kuah.

After checking into our hotel, Swiss Garden, we quickly went to have a bath for refresh ourselves. Then we headed off to Berjaya Times Square for some shopping! Dad stayed behind in the hotel as he's tired after a long drive, plus he doesnt really like shopping.

At about 5.30pm, dad came to meet us. Mum, aunt and me just shopped one floor of Metrojaya only. We havent finish Metrojaya-ing, and havent even started looking at the shoplots! =.='' We continued to look around the shoplots until about 7 something pm, then we headed to Pavilion for our dinner.

We decided to have Tony Roma's.

The portion was BIG! Though we were extremely hungry at that time, we couldnt manage to finish the fries anymore! We had a quick walk around pavilion, then we went back to the hotel, leg exhausted!

Oh ya, I managed to watch Initial D on ntv7. I guess that type of show doesnt suit me? Not much storyline... =.=''

Mum wake me up at about 9am on Sunday. Got ready and headed to Chee Cheong Kai for breakfast. We had some porridge and Chee Cheong Fun. Again, yummy!! (forgot to take picture)

Then we went to BB Plaza and shopped! Dad again, doesnt want to follow as he was up last night watching tv till quite late. I had Lecka-Lecka ice-creams! But it's not as yummy as I remember. Wrong flavour? Hmmm...

About 2pm we went over to Pavillion again as we didnt really shop there yesterday. Took another picture of the fountain.

Set 3. I cant remember what is it called.

The portion was quite big compared with other fast food burger set that i've ever had. No wonder it costs rm22.05 after tax for one large set. lol I like the burger! So much more yummy-er than McD's.

At about 6pm, we met up with Dad in Berjaya Times Square again. We walked and shopped there until about 8pm, then we went to Causeway Bay Restaurat located at Low Yat Plaza for dinner. They serve HongKong style food and again, YUMMY!! (and again, forgot to take pictures)

We were so tired after so much of walking for the 2 days that we went back to the hotel after dinner. LEGS ARE ABOUT TO BREAK! I managed to catch the movie PS I LOVE YOU from Star Movies. Awwww.....romantic!! ;)

Then Monday came. Time to go back to Penang. Mum woke me up at 8am, and then we started packing. Then about 9am, mum and I walked all the way back to Pavillion again, to buy...



Krispy Kreme's doughnuts!!

It's the 13th of July, their birthday so they are giving 50% discount for Original Glazed doughnuts. From rm19.90 per dozen becomes rm9.90!! We ended up buying 2 dozens. 1 dozen of Original Glazed doughnuts, 1 dozen of Assorted doughnuts. Yes, a total of 24 doughnuts!!

After buying those doughnuts, mum and I went back to the hotel. Then we checked-out and started our journey back. Stopped by one of the highway stop for some nasi kandar as our lunch. Listened to a cassette (hahaha CD player spoil, so must go back to zaman dinosaur). and at one point, guess what song we listened? It's.... Christmas songs! LOL there werent many choices of cassettes left in the car!

So we jingle bells along our way back to penang! i miss christmas
