Just an update about my current life.

I'm now taking my one and final un-attempted ACCA paper, P6 - Advanced Taxation. Yes, I finally decided to stay with tax instead of finance or audit. I know, I know... tax changes every year or so especially in Malaysia. But it has been decided. Hopefully I made the right choice.. I BETTER make the right choice! LOL

And hopefully my P3 and P5 results do not fail me. About a month more to go......

And because taking only 1 paper this sem, I'm pretty free for now. I have 2 days of class and 5 days of weekend! (do I sense jealousy somewhere? =P) So what do I do for the 5 free days?

miss kee lean lean turns 21

Let's refer Lean as Miss Kee in this post, to celebrate her entry to the adult stage! :)

So, her whole birthday process actually started 2 days before the actual day (22 July 2010) for PeiShing and me. This is because WE ARE BAKING A CHEESECAKE!!!

The whole cake-baking process took 2 evenings. This is because the cake needs to be chilled for a few hours after baking.

The first evening, we did everything front scratch. Melting the butter, pound the graham cracker into crumbs, beating cream cheese, squeezing lemons, baking etc... Luckily we have Yin as our supervisor. At least we did not panic and mixed up the recipe. Hehe

The second evening, around 10pm during the eve of Miss Kee's birthday, we gathered again in Yin's house to cut the cheesecake into squares and decorate it with skittles, rocky, strawberries and jam.

So, after two evenings of hardwork, presenting... the one and only cake made by PEISHING AND SHU-MIN...THE CHEESECAKE SQUARES!!! TADAAAAAAAA~~

Thanks for Yin's guidance and little bit of help (not lying), the cake turned out edible and lovely! :)

By the time we finish decorating, it was already 11pm! We hurried ourselves. Wanted to buy THE ONION BURGER that Miss Kee likes but seldom get to it as she lives quite far and she doesnt drive! Hahaha Too bad the burger stall was closed. PeiShing and I decided to get Oblong Burger instead. So we went to Pulau Tikus and ordered four oblong burgers. The chef took 25 minutes to cook the oblong burgers! Mind you... there were no customers ahead of us k!! =.='' By the time the burger is ready, it was already 11.35pm!

From where Miss Kee lives, most probably we would arrive after 12 midnight. But we tried our best to stick to our plan. There was actually a shorter route to her house but PeiShing and me do not dare to give it a try as we are not sure of the directions using the shortcut route. So we stick to the old route that we are familiar. Better be late and reach the destination, than trying to be early and ended up reaching at 3am instead right?!?!

By the time we reached, it was already 12.05am. 5 minutes late! :( But nevertheless, the plans is still on! We called Miss Kee's mum in her handphone. She was already waiting for us outside. Thank you aunty for your help and sorry for being late! :S

She opened the gate for us and we sneaked into the house. We know she would be in her computer room. So we go sang the song HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU as we walked in the computer room. Miss Kee's expression is priceless! She started screaming with her mouth shaped like a big letter 'O'. If only we managed to capture her expression on a camera, then we can blackmail her in the future! Hehehehehe....

By the way, we actually wanted to sing the full song of HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her, but her screaming shut both PeiShing and me up! LOL

Miss Kee then went to change to a better looking clothes, then we officially celebrated her birthday.

Then, it was oblong time! PeiShing and me started eating the oblongs and drank 7up but Miss Kee and her mum was still very full from dinner. They kept the oblong for later.

After this, it's just talking, crapping, bullshitting, pillow-talking moments. Oh, vainpot moments too. Hehe

PeiShing dozed off at around 3am while Miss Kee and me dozed off to dreamland at around 4am. We woke up at 8am the next morning!

Miss Kee's mum prepared fried rice and "special" bak wans (porkballs) as breakfast for the three of us. Thank you again aunty! Then of course, we each had a piece of the cheesecake squares. It tastes heavenly! Miss Kee says it's yummy too! PeiShing and me are not self proclaiming! :D

We left at around 9.15am as PeiShing has to go to work.

PeiShing and I are glad that our plan to surprise Miss Kee actually worked! No leakage. Thanks to Miss Kee's mum and sister's help who decides to 'betray' Miss Kee along with us. Hehe

Hike to Pantai Kerachut (10 July 2010)

I love the pier

It was the first trip to most of them to Pantai Kerachut. It was even the first hiking trip for Connie, Rachael and Angeline! We also went over to the Turtle Reservation Centre and saved an overturned turtle on the beach! We tried reliving the high school volleyball days but ended up having the ball flying at all sorts of directions. LOL We took Pak Atan's boat ride back to Taman Negara which costed RM9/person.


Movie Marathon (11 July 2010)

KarenC again invites me for free movies. KarenC, Connie and me had and back-to-back movie marathon in Queensbay. Triple Tap and Toy Story 3.

The storyline of Triple Tap is quite okay la. But the movie is quite slow. It gets a little bored after a while. LOL

We made a bold choice to watch Toy Story 3. It was funny and cute. Btw, this is the first Toy Story I watched. LOL

Neway & Movie (14 July 2010)

Diana and Lean ppk-ed PeiShing and me, but we decided to go anyway to give the newly open Neway a try.

RM11.30 (after tax) for 1 drink, 1 lunch... and a free buffet salad!! We were both singing and eating the whole 3 hours. Was so exhausted and tired after that.

As KarenC gave me another 2 free movie tickets that expires on that day, we went for the movie Despicable Me.

Many has good review about the movie, but PeiShing and me personally doesnt like it. It agree it was funny but it was lame as well. Maybe just not quite our taste.


James Foo Western Food & Coffee Island (16 July 2010)

After weeks and weeks craving for James Foo's Chicken Gordon Bleu, finally had a taste of it. I was so full and even donated my bun and chips to others. Craving fulfilled! \o/

Was on the way to Hard Rock and we saw the hitz.fm cruise on rapid penang. We stopped and hopped on it. We get freebies!!

Bon Odori (17 July 2010)

Last minutely PeiShing and me decided to join the crowd of Bon Odori. Afterall, it's only once a year right? We asked ChekHwa and LipHoo along. Only ChekHwa replied.

Went over to Northam Beach Cafe for dinner first as it was raining quite heavily. Plus we do not want to spend on overly priced food in Bon Odori.

LipHoo called when we were halfway eating and agreed to join us. He asked if he should wear formal or informal! LOL It's his first time going to Bon Odori.

We walked and slacked around the area from 7pm up until the fireworks. None of us bring camera along for this event.

Lunch at Aji Noren Restaurant (18 July 2010)

It's been looooooong since a meet up with Myreen and Li Peng. Only 5 of us went (KarenC, YiTing, Myreen, Peng and me). We had fun catching up and talking about Peng's experience in Kampar. Hahahaha...

I MISS HIGH SCHOOL!

Exactly 2 weeks ago, I went to Langkawi island with awesome people. And now that I've got the photos, I would like to blog it to keep the memories. So...

DAY 1 !! 5 July 2010...

All of us gathered up at 12pm in Penang International Airport. My first trip on a plane with friends, and also my first trip to Langkawi. Some were early but some were late....but all were on time for the check-in!

As scheduled our flight took off at 1.15pm.

Then the first mission starts. Transportation. Being a group of 19, we decided to get two vans after the guys did the bargaining of prices and checking the conditions of the van and etc for I think 1 hour. One is a 8-seater van while the next is a 12-seater van. Then off we start!

We headed to AB Motel located in Pantai Cenang. We managed to find the hotel just fine. We had 3 rooms for 17 of us (1 room for the girls and 2 rooms for the guys), while Jas n bf had a room for themselves opposite us.

Room condition was better than expected. Except for the floor which are quite sticky due to the motel located right next (or on?) the beach. A tv, a dressing table and a bathroom is attached too. Oh, and even a balcony! overlooking the beach! Not bad lor.. and per room like this is only rm120 per night. With aircond too. Quite a good bargain I feel! ;)

After dropping out luggage and explored the room, we went back to our vans and headed off for lunch nearby then to the Cable Car.

We went up to the highest stop first. Then we walked our way towards the sky bridge.

After spending quite some time on the bridge, we walked back up to the cable car station. HELL comes. The hike up the stairs felt like foreverrrrrrrr! This is when I regret not exercising.

We took the cable car and went to the mid-station. Nothing much there. Just enjoyed the breeze and view again..

The cable car supposed to close at 6pm. But I think by the time we went down, it was already 6.30pm. Walked around the park.. and scared people again when we saw a wooden hanging bridge.

After this, we headed our way to Telaga Tujuh (Seven Wells Waterfall). When we reached there, we asked around and were told that to reach the bottom of the waterfall, we need to hike about 15 minutes, and if to the top, 45 minutes. All of us sehati sejiwa agreed on 15 minutes. LOL

The hike up was quite tiring. But it was so worth it when we reach.

The waterfall is just LOVELY. So refreshing and the water is so cooling. Our plan to spend just awhile there failed. I think overall we spend nearly 1 hour there. LOL!

Then we headed back to AB Motel. Along the way, dropped by a petrol station and we saw many boats were parked at the pier.

Dropped Jas and bf at AB as they were tired already. Then we headed down to Kuah Town for dinner.

This dinner tok-ed us rm18.60 per person. :( But at least we managed to eat till we are extremely full. *self console lol*

After dinner, I cant believe I met my NS friend, Shuang! We havent seen each other since 11 March 2007! She also came to Langkawi for holiday. What a coincidence!

After dinner, we also looked around at the shops selling chocolates and alcohol for a while. Then we went over to Dataran Helang (Helang Square) which is also located in Kuah Town.

We headed back to AB after that and cleaned ourselves. Then we headed off to the guys room and played some cards and superhero game, with losers have to drink alcohol.

Had a funny night with PeiShing's "hee heee heee" and random shouting and giggling the whole night" LOL!

Day 2!! 6 July 2010...

Weird enough, most of the girls slept only for an hour of 2 the whole night despite the headache and tiredness.

I woke up and discovered this on my back. From neck to buttock. =.='''''' alcohol rashes according to the 18 other alcohol experts. AND according to them, I will be an expert in alcohol in the future! LOL

lasted about a week!! :S

Only 9 of us (Ranjini, Shan, PeiShing, HooiChin, Lean, Chie Siang, Jas n bf and me) wants to go to Underwater World in the morning as the rest had been there before. So we left them in AB sleeping while 9 of us had roti canai / nasi lemak as our breakfast along Pantai Cenang at about 9am. Then we headed off to Underwater World at around 10am.

The whole Underwater World took us about 2 hours. Then we went over to duty free shops next to it and meet up with the rest. Plus surveying the price to be compared to the shops in town.

After that, we headed for lunch in some random atap house before heading to Pantai Pasir Hitam.

When we reach Pasir Hitam, we were disappointed. The beach wasnt exactly black.

Then some incident happened. We ended up spliting into two groups. The 9 of us again headed off to town to buy chocolates and alcohol as they are cheaper there. Then we went back to AB and waited for the guys to come back and we headed off to the beach.

After the beach session, as some of them wants to go to town and some wants to go to the night market, we split again. I went to the pasar malam.

I spend rm1 on 3 mini dorayaki-s, rm1 on nata de coco lychee and rm1 one chicken burger. YES! burger! RM 3 and i'm so full... *two thumbs up*

Then we went back and shopped around Pantai Cenang. Nothing much to buy. Reminds me of Batu Feringgi. Only without the pirated DVDs. lol

Then after everyone is back and bathed, we went to the night cards and superhero games again. We played until the FIFA 2010 Uruguay vs Netherlands started. Some fell asleep. Only a few managed to watch the entire match.


Day 3!! 7 July 2010...

The girls in the same room as me woke up at around 9am. We laze around and take our time to bathe. The plan to go to Telaga Tujuh again as expected will fail, FAILED! No one woke up at 7am! HAHAHAHA

It was a really really windy day.

Since there's no plan for the morning, we had a crazy karaoke session in the room. HAHAHAHA it was more to getting crazy session instead actually!! ;)

Then we headed down to the beach. The guys were carrying each other up in the air. While we girls took retarded pictures of ourselves.

Then we headed back to our room for last minute packing and then drove towards the airport. We had Kenny Rogers for lunch (and breakfast.. 2 in 1).

Then disaster starts. Our flight got delayed!! At first it was delayed for 20 minutes. Then delayed again.... Our flight that was supposed to be on 2.15pm ended up delayed until around 3.15pm. We suspected it was caused by the strong wind.
