because two days of weekend is not enough!!!!

Hello! Hope you still remember me. :)

2012 has been a packed year! I'm not lying. Coming back from South Africa at the end of last year, it's been celebrations all along. From Christmas to celebrating my 22nd birthday, to New Year's Countdown to Chinese New Year non-stop until end of January.

I had a blast the whole time.

Christmas eve - the first celebration was already crazy. Walked out from a restaurant because there's no food left to order, and ended up buying roadside burger and enjoyed them in Straits Quay.

We did managed to go to Full of Beans to have a cuppa coffee & macaroons later on to compensate our pitiful dinner.

That was the first time I tasted macaroons! Very sweet! Not to my favourite liking. Chocolate still win them anytime! :)

Then 30th December - yearly date that reminds me I'm getting old and hopefully wiser. Already blogged about it so I'm not gonna write anymore here.

Then it's New Year's Eve! Well to be honest, NYE is only interesting because of the fireworks! Everywhere, the prices will be ridiculously increased!

Luckily we managed to find one restaurant that is not so expensive and the prices doesnt increase even during festive season - Mizi Bistro @ Tesco Tanjung Pinang.

After dinner, we walked on foot to SQ for the countdown. The magnificent Christmas tree was still around so we took a group pic.

Many activities were held that day. Slides for kids, lots of mascots walking around, live band performances... and the place was packed like sardines!

That's how i bid farewell to 2011 and ushered the 2012 with a bang (fireworks)!

After that, it was a lot of job-applying for me. Cleaning up my resumes, looking at jobstreet and news for job openings etc.. Of course, met up with friends in between to clear away the stress!

Then comes CNY! The weather was torturing hot as usual especially the house-visiting sessions, but it's always nice to meet up with relatives and friends! and the food are always, always good! :)

Also celebrated my big sis's birthday!

Then right in the middle of CNY, I found a job in an accounting department and started in February. So hello back to working life!

Overall, so far so good la my new working environment. Definitely less hectic as compared to audit life!

In my current working place, I get free lunch at work. A meal where I can choose western or asian.

Above is an example of my choice for last Friday - Pasta vs Tomyam. Free flow of salad + fruits provided too. Anyway that day, I took both pasta and tomyam because I wanted to try both and so does my colleague so we shared! ngek ngek ngek

See! It's been a crazy 2012 so far. Yet, overall it has been fun I would say. Here's to hoping another 10 months of fun! :)

OMG! Already didnt blog for more than a month! *guilty*

I have nothing to update la. The only thing happening in my life right now is work, and I cant say much due to confidentiality issue (scared kena sue! lol). Erm, maybe just a little update?

1) Now I eat breakfast everyday!
I used to skip breakfast because either I wake up late, or I'm just too lazy to get myself breakfast. But now if I skip breakfast to work, I will have a bad morning because my stomach would be complaining the whole morning. I usually eat bread+cheese though, cause I'm still lazy to wake up early to have a proper breakfast. Hehehe

2) Morning person
One month and I'm already a morning person! No more onlining or watching movies in the middle of the night, even during weekends. 12 midnight and I'm already feeling so tired and sleepy. 12.30am is my limit. And I still wake up quite early, around 8 something during the weekends. In another words, I'm turning into a Lau Ee. But good for myself I guess. Healthy lifestyle~

3) Meeting up with my friends less
I MISS THEM! I miss going to the cinema and then lepak around the mall. I miss Redbox sessions. I miss Taboo sessions. I miss random outings! Now I can only hang out in the late evening or weekends, which makes things expensive! No more RM6 in the cinemas. No more RM10+ in Redbox. No more student price for anything! T_______T

4) Less time at home.
I miss being at home too. There's so many things waiting for me at home. My movies, my blog, playing with Shern, my storybook.. not enough time for everything!

5) I know, theoretically..
Everything at work seems so familiar to the things I've studied before, but yet everything is so foreign when it comes to hands on. New things to learn everyday in my pea-sized brain. Hopefully my brain is working at full capacity now.

6) Getting to know new people
I've been in my comfort zone with similar friends for quite some time. Now I gotta meet new people at work. I've always had a hard time remembering people's name! I feel bad if I forget someone's name. I wish for a super memory!

1. I'm employed!

I've just signed and handed in my offer letter, so I'm now officially an employee of an audit firm located in Penang. Gonna start working soon! I've also bought a few working clothes and got a few still-new-hand-me-downs from my sisters/relatives. I only need to shop for a new shoe/heels and I'm ready (at least on the appearance side). Hello corporate world! :)


2. Braces-be-gone

For those who have good observation skills, you might have realised that I've been wearing braces on my lower teeth. I just took them out today! And from today onwards, I have a new reminder - 'Wear the retainer before going to sleep!'

As a reward to myself for completing my studies, I brought myself to manicure and pedicure session.

Are you surprised if I tell you that this is my FIRST mani and pedi in my life? IT IS!! (not including colouring my nails at home la)

I love it when the scrub/massage/clean my feet and hands. It makes me feel like all the dead cells are finally scrubbed off my feet. I'd like to tell myself that my feet and hands are at least a shade fairer after the session! Haha

I just love the feeling of sitting there, not a thought in my head, just reading gossip magazines and being pampered! I'm loving it alot!!

So far I've...

• Completed a few TVB series such as Point of No Return, Golden Faith (again!), Beyond The Realm Of Conscience and Cant Buy Me Love. No Regrets coming up soon.

• Watched some new movies and re-watched movies from my dvd stack like I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, 3 Idiots, Eat Pray Love, 17 Again and Hunchback of Notre Dame.

• Finished My Sister's Keeper book.. and only managed to survive 1/3 of Eat Pray Love book before I give up and watch the dvd instead. Hehe

• Hunted wedding favours/decos/gown/etc for Sis-Wen's wedding end of this year! Imma be bridesmaid again! :)

• CNY clothes shopping! Bought quite a number during salessssssssss! No new shoes or bag though.

• Random outing with friends to cinema, redbox, malls, birthday parties, etc.

• Online online online!

I definitely enjoy this obese life! :)

Just an update about my current life.

I'm now taking my one and final un-attempted ACCA paper, P6 - Advanced Taxation. Yes, I finally decided to stay with tax instead of finance or audit. I know, I know... tax changes every year or so especially in Malaysia. But it has been decided. Hopefully I made the right choice.. I BETTER make the right choice! LOL

And hopefully my P3 and P5 results do not fail me. About a month more to go......

And because taking only 1 paper this sem, I'm pretty free for now. I have 2 days of class and 5 days of weekend! (do I sense jealousy somewhere? =P) So what do I do for the 5 free days?

It was a really fun day. I own lots of properties, but the Community Chest made me paid $14 million! Plus Connie's houses and hotels made me pay $9.5 - $10.0 million each time I stop there. Can die want k!!! Luckily I managed to survived after mortgaging my properties for many rounds! Hey I come out as a winner too after 3 hours! ;D

I'm bored. Very bored. Extremely bored. I realised lately I have nothing in my life. Only studies. And OBU thesis, which is also studies. FML I seriously need something nice and interesting to keep me alive. Outing, yes! But it only lasts for awhile. And I cant keep going out everyday. I don't print money, nor does my dad. I keep trying to think of a new hobby. But starting off new hobby usually needs *kaching*. Scrapbooking -$$! Attend dance classes - $$! Maybe I should start something to do with health (jogging since it's FOC). But me no likey. I prefer to eat and go to the toilet. Damn even eating needs *kaching* =.='' Reading storybooks is not helping too. Each time I read, I cant help but to think shit, i have a whole stack of ACCA books waiting for me and I'm reading fictions that doesnt help in my exams. EXAM GUILT? but it's only March now. Exams in June! ACCA can really drive people nuts.

The first two months of the year is always the best!

Why?

One. It's a very valid reason to forget about the sad things. New year new beginning. Have a brand new start!

Two. A lot of celebrations. There's New Year, Chinese New Year, Thaipusam, Valentines... Celebrations are happy days!

Three. No tests/exams. A student's honeymoon period!

Four. Inflow of income. *referring to number two. Chinese New Year angpows la.........

I hope February doesnt end.

2. Went to Hardwicke rm18++ buffet lunch promotion with KarenC, Ting, Ivy and Connie.

We did not make any reservation, and it was already fully booked. We have to sit outside at the porch area. Luckily it was a windy day. Too windy and with all of us having long hair, it was rather troublesome! So book your way to Hardwicke people!! :) The buffet lunch was okay for the price. Cant complain!

3. Celebrated cousin JiaLi's 13th birthday!

The cake was extremely delicious.. DOUBLE CHOCOLATE!!
