Kevin & Ruby's Wedding

Karen's brother had his wedding ceremony a few hours ago. It was held in a restaurant in Red Rock. So according to Karen, I'm supposed to reach there about 6.30pm as I would be helping out with the table sorting stuff.

As Connie, YiTing, Caryn and me went together, we arrived a little pass 6.30pm and we were early, TOOOO early because no one was there yet! But it was nice though, we get to take photos around there which normally would be packed with people later on.. like the 'garden-style' arch, the big big mirror. =P

the stage

About 7pm, the newlyweds arrived! Karen was with them too of course.

Karen . Kevin . Ruby . Shu-Min

Can see that their parents are so tensed, more tensed up than the newlyweds. Everyone refer to them when they have any questions about the dinner. I guess it's normal as parents are usually the more excited ones. LOL

Anyway turned out that I wasnt a much help to them as only the father understands the table listing. Sorry Aunty as I wasnt helpful that time as I promised! Hope you'll forgive me! =(

Anyway the dinner. We had a total of 8 dishes! WOW!! And my table only consists of 6 people. It means that we have more food than other tables! DOUBLE WOW!! \o/

The first four seasons dish, everything was cleared... except for the cucumber deco. Then the second dish, shark-fin soup.

Here comes the dilemma. You see, I'm trying to stop eating shark's fin because it's really cruel that they cut off the shark's fin and throw the sharks back into the sea and let them rot and die!! And as people who are close to me who knows me, I LOVE SHARK FIN SOUP!! I never say no to shark fin soup since the day I can chew up until today!! =.='' So in the end, I cant resist and took a bowl of it. But before that, I try my best to transfer as many shark's fin from my bowl that I can see to my friend's bowl. I confessed that I still ate a little. Sigh.. plan failed!! =(

Anyway, dish 3. It's a meat with a lot of oil. We couldnt figure out what type of meat it is.. though we all think that it's pork. We didnt finish that dish as all of us doesnt really enjoy eating 'oils'. We finished the rabbit-looking bread though.

Dish 4 was fried prawns. All of us was like.... "hmmm prawns... who wanna peel?" hahahhaa No one likes to peel so we ended up peeling our own prawns. All of us ate very little as we were LAZY. We ended up having 3 prawns left and so we played a game to finish them. We spin the lazy susan 3 rounds and if the plate of prawns landed in front of you, the person would have to finish up 1 prawn. Connie, Ivy and I got "lucky" and we "won" those prawns.

During dish 5 (mixed vegetables) and dish 6 (steamed fish), nothing unusual happened. We had our dinner decently. HAHAHAHA.. Dish 7 was the killer dish. All of us were so full already that we only ate half the fried rice. It was quite yummy though. I wished I wasnt that full yet!

Dish 8, they served my favourite honeydew sago!! YAY YAY!! I was happily eating halfway, then we have a few photo group taking sessions and when I'm back, the waitresses already took away my honeydew sago!! I was supposed to have at least 2 bowls of it!! T_T

We were bloated after eating for 2 hours. Oh.. of course we had the chinese 'Yum Seng' moment somewhere in between those dishes!

Thanks Karen and family for the invitation. And congratulations to the newlyweds. I wish you both forever happiness!! =)

a day with hooichin

I'm only supposed to join for lunch, but last minutely YiWei ppk-ed us. So HooiChin was left alone to spend the whole day in Gurney, so I sorta last minutely decide to lepak with her in Gurney too.

First we went over to Digi and changed my plan from normal prepaid to the Digi Campus plan. It is superly cheap! Should definately change it!!

Then we went over to Manila Place for lunch. I had Spaghetti Carbonara which is number 1 creamy and rich! HooiChin had Bombay Chicken.

We then went to GSC to buy a movie ticket. The plan was to watch Where Got Ghost? but it was sold out! HMPHH! Then we decided to watch Tsunami At Haeundae as we heard from friend that it was quite nice. But the only seats left was the first 2 rows. DOUBLE HMPHH!! (but luckily as I now checked, Tsunami At Haeundae is in korean LOL) So we went for the third choice, The Ugly Truth.

**Katherine Heigl stars as a lovelorn television producer who's made to run a gauntlet of romantic exploits by a pig-headed morning-show host (played by Gerard Butler) as a way to prove whose romantic methods are more accurate. - movies.msn.com**

Both of us didnt expect much from this movie. Thought it was a typically love story again. But maybe because our expectation was low, So the movie turned out to be a nice one. Many dirty sentences were made and both of them arguing are hilarious. This movie is better than The Proposal to me. Rating of 4.0/5.0.

Before the movie we actually walked around Gurney first. Girls ma.. shopping lor!

In the changing room

HooiChin bought the shirt while I just tumpang trying in the changing room. LOL We went for movie after some shopping.

After movie, we walked around again. Just randomly shopping here and there. After we got bored, we went over to McD and had ice creams!

Green Apple . Chocotop

After ice cream, it was already 6.30pm. And we were still full. But we wanted to have desserts in Crepes Cottage along Gurney Drive. We were so excited for the Apple and Mango desserts. So we went over there and waited. But too bad it was closed! Guess public holiday they dont open.

So we went over to Coffee Island right beside it.

blue hawaii

Shared a Blue Hawaii and had Butter+Kaya Toast each. After awhile we chao-ed back home. What a day that doesnt goes according to plan, but still had fun! :)

Disted's Prom : The Endless Night

In 2007, prom was held very near our T1 and T2 exams, so we decided to be a nerd and skip the prom. We'll go next year. Then 2008 arrived. Prom was held when most of us are about to declare bankruptcy and eat grass for months. So we delayed for another year.

So this year 2009, we die die also attend. Furthermore, most of us wont be around in 2010 anymore. The last chance for prom. Our last chance to attend prom together. Really die die also must attend right? =P

I went for a haircut in the morning. Just to trim my hair and fringe. But the hair dresser cut my fringe a little too short! T_T But I like the trim he did to the back of my hair. Nice!

Then at 4.30pm PeiShing and I went over to Choki aka Myreen's house where she kindly, generously, besar hati-ly helped me with my make-up and hair and PeiShing for make-up.

Left: PeiShing having her make-up done
Right: Choki curling my hair

By the time everything is ready, it's already near 7pm! OMG! We are both late d!!

Pei Shing . Me

I kept saying that I look OLD but PeiShing and Choki says nice. Mature but not old. So, what do you think?

Really have to thanks Choki very the muchie! Without her, there wont be me or PeiShing! HAHAHA dramatic-nya.... Oh ya, Choki says I have long eyelashes!! \o/ *battling eyelashes*

The pro make-up artist : CHOKI!

Banyak banyak ribuan terima kasih kepada Choki! *bow* muaks

At 7pm, PeiShing and I zoom-ed our way to Gurney Hotel. And the prom is held in the ballroom with the theme "The Endless Night". Our table is table number 2.

We went into the ballroom and saw that Karen, Ranjini, HooiChin and Lean was already there! Our table should consist of Karen, Ranjini, HooiChin, Lean, PeiShing, Diana, ChuiLeng, JunLynn, YiWei and me. GIRL POWER!

And girl power means.... lots of camwhore sessions. LOL

Outside the ballroom with the balloon arch

Table 2 but Yi Wei is missing!

In the bathroom LOL

I'm not gonna bore you with lots of camwhore pictures. You can see them all in facebook!

And about food. I would say for rm62 (after group discount), it's really not worth it. There's only little choices for buffet style. I think only 10 types... including plain white rice!!! And it's not yummy!!

The dessert was okay though. At least there's like 10 choices just for deserts.. but again, not really yummy. Just pass!

There's many performances throughout the night; Dancing, Singing, Magic Show, DJ thingy, Beatboxing, Drum Performance, etc... Didnt manage to take nice pictures as our table was kinda at the side of the stage. All pictures are sideways!

YiWei was one of the pretty girls to be nominated as Prom Queen. But she didnt win. =(

We ate our dinner, turning our heads when the performances are interesting, and took pictures when we are bored.

After dinner, we took pictures again. HAHA

Table 2 : Short to tall
Diana . JunLynn . Shu-Min . Ranjini . PeiShing . ChuiLeng . KarenP . Lean . HooiChin . YiWei
Dammit I am the third shortest! T_T

We even tried taking pictures using the ceiling mirror in the lift...but we failed!! This is the best we could take.

Reflection in the lift

In the hotel lobby

Table 2 is really unlucky. Because no one won a lucky draw!

After prom, everyone except for YiWei, JunLynn and Diana went over to Coffee Island. YiWei was really kind and she gave all of us a lift to Coffee Island. Yeaps, ALL OF US!! 9 of us fit into a Nissan Cefiro!! When we came out from the car, it was so funny. It's like never ending... 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...! LOL People nearby was staring at us.

We ordered some drinks, played Bluff and Uno... By the time we were done, it was already 12.30am! We walked back to Gurney Hotel. At that time, our legs are about to break.

We then bid farewell to each other! And all of us went home.

Last picture before taking down the make-up. My hair was not that curl anymore though

I had a wonderful formal night with friends!! A memorable one indeed!!

P/S: If you've noticed, I did not wear specs on that day, so I'm practically blur-blind on that day! LOL

ka boom!

After class as usual yesterday, I walked towards my car, reversed from the place I parked, getting ready to reach home sweet home. Just as when I was driving right in front of Disted's library building, a Waja reversed and KABOOMMMMMMMM!!

Yeaps, accident!! Waja banged into Kancil.

I got out of my car to see the damage. The passenger seat's door kemek inside, and it couldnt open. Then I went to talk to the Waja's owner.

Turns out that there's 4 people in the car. And they were busy talking and didnt realised that there was a car before they reversed. =.='' I told them that I need to get the car to checked how much will the damage cost, then I would call them to claim. They agreed.

So being a noob in cars, I drove back home, told my dad and we both went to the nearest workshop. Too bad he told us that he only services car, he doesnt knock the steel (or whatever you call it), and he recommended us to go to another place.

So me and my dad went over to the place he recommended. Mr Ah Seng says the damage would cost rm40. So I called the girl who banged me and told her. She agreed to it.

After waiting for about half an hour for Mr Ah Seng to 'knock bang knock bang', the kemek part came back up. But it wasnt nicely done. You can still see the damage. In order for it to be unrealised, Mr Ah Seng says that he needs to dismantle the door, 'knock' it properly then repaint it. It's gonna cost another rm120.

So I called the girl again, and she said okay. But I wanted to make sure that I get the money first from the girl before doing anything. But the girl is now in town having her lunch and she says she need to go to the bank to get money first. She will only be back in Disted at 2pm. That time was only about 1.15pm.

So instead of waiting, my dad and I went back home first. Then really at about 2pm, she called. This time me and my sis went to Disted in two different cars.

When we reach there, the girl asked her another guy friend to back her up, together with 3 others girl friends. Banyak buli sedikit! LOL

The girl were saying that she can only afford rm120. Me and my sis backed ourselves up by saying that she has already agreed to rm160 on the phone earlier. Then her friend kept saying that he has contacts, then want to ask his contacts to check first and stuff. We disagreed as it would require me to go all the way to Sungai Ara. The debate went on for a while, before my sister said, okay, if you really cant afford rm160, we report police to help us to settle. LOL killer sentence. They agreed to just settle it for rm160. Bravo to my sister! HAHA

Then I dropped my car in Mr Ah Seng's workshop for a day, and my sister picked me up.

It was really troublesome to be involved in an accident. Took us about 3 hours from the first bang to me dropping my car in the workshop.

So people, please drive carefully. I'm reminding myself too!

frustrated

Last friday, I was so frustrated over something. I got really frustrated but there's nothing I could do besides to wait for Tuesday, I calmed myself down and tried not to think about it at all until this coming Tuesday.

However, today I woke up at 7 something in the morning (which is really rare considering that I slept at 2am last night), feeling double frustrated because I am still very sleepy and I dreamt about the thing I'm frustrated about. And I couldnt get back to sleep.

I'm really really sleepy but my mind just couldnt forget about the frustration and this is driving me crazy! ARGH!!

I seriously hate irresponsible people. They make me so frustrated!

Great, now I'm starting off my day feeling frustrated. Damn!
