my thursday to sunday

thursday
been looking forward for tuesday since the day we planned about it. we actually delayed it for nearly a month already. due to many many important incidents like shu-min going out with sis, peishing going to kl, chuileng bf's bday, lean got dentist appointment, etc..

we got fed up that in the end, we just set it thurs, and asks everyone to cancel off other appointments! we dont care! LOL

friday
after a day of fun, here comes a day of disaster. library day. T_T

went to meet up with karenP, ranjini n jasvin. and started our day, boringly staring at notes and books.

*yawn*

halfway through, there's this world's book day or something like that happening in disted libary. we were given a form to fill in a form about the book we are studying; the title, author and what have we learnt from the book. then we are entitled for a lucky draw!!

something funny happened in between anyway. ranjini's 'go go go'. lmao

saturday
woke up really late. nearly noon. had lunch as my breakfast at 2pm. wonder around the house for a while, then off we go to Penang Hill.

this is just my 2nd time here in Penang Hill. the first time was when i was about 10 years old.

we took the tram up. by the time we reach the top of Penang Hill, it was already 5.45pm! we walked around a little. and off we go to our destination. David Brown's.

the food was served really quick too! we took our orders, and in 15 minutes time, all the food was ready!

to me, the food wasnt exceptionally delicious, but it was okay. considered yummy! a little price though. ouch!

after dinner, we just sat down and chit chatted. the wind was chill, so it was rather nice sitting there and enjoy the breeze.

then about 10pm, we went all the way to Dato Koyah Road in town, and had Abu's mamak for supper! the curry was yummy! i love it!


sunday
did nothing at home. rot and rot. re-watched Ladder 49 with my family on dvd.

lol i was supposed to blog about below but i totally forgot about it!

so, sunday morning, it was raining so heavily in PISA.
after we parked our car, we gotta walk our way under the rain.
and the roads are a little flooded.
and because of that my sport shoe AND socks got wet.
it'll be stinky to be wearing wet shoes and wet socks for the whole day right?
so i decided to take off my shoes and socks,
and got bare footed inside the booth the whole day.
hahahahhaha
and this is the result:

pc fair & paddington's

ChuiLeng, HooiChin, Lean and me meet at the main entrance of PISA at about 11.15am for Pikom PC Fair.

our list of stuff to buy:
HC: printer's ink, pendrive
CL: pendrive, maybe camera and webcam?
Me: external hard disk for karenc
LL: -nil-

so off we go, looking nearly at every stall available for price quotes because we planned to survey all buy only the cheapest! smart consumer ma right? ;P

not so crowded yet

after walking around for 2 hours plus, i managed to get the hard disk, HC managed to get her ink and pendrives for both HC and CL. lean couldnt resist and bought CD plastics too!

then we realised that it was already 1.20pm. OMG! the set lunch promotion for Paddington House of Pancakes ends at 2pm! we dont want to ruin our plan so off we go to Paddington! thankfully, there were no jam and we managed to find parking fast, so we got there on time!

and we had Paddington's!

they were all so yummy. we were so full after that! but they serve us desserts!! ice cream... with mini PANCAKES! we were bloated!

after lunch, HC went back home while me, LL and CL walked around a little while before we went home.


note to self and the lesson for the day is:
NEVER GO AND SAY HIE TO YOUR COLLEAGUES WORKING IN PC FAIR.
because i did that and Yen say they are lack of people working, so in the end, me and CL gave in. so both of us will be working! =S

the little nyonya

i want to update my blog.
but i dont know what to update.

wanted to update about Ivy's B'day held last Friday,
but i dont have any photos with me yet,
so, i'll delay it for later,
and if i still remember after i got the photos. =P

not going to update about studies,
or my classmates willl kill me tomorrow,
saying that it gives them pressure, stress, etc.

i'll BORE you with the drama series i just finished watching not long ago.

THE LITTLE NYONYA

it's a 34 episodes Singapore production,
filmed in Penang, Malacca and Singapore.
and it's a nice movie!
it shows a lot of baba and nyonya culture.
the pace is a little slow though,
compared to HongKong TVB movies.
but it's still so nice.

It started with the story of JuXiang,
a deaf and mute nyonya,
who was mistreated because she is the Second Mistress' daughter,
and later the story continues,
until her daughter,
YueNiang.
How they both fought their way through
love, fate and life,
despite being just a nyonya at that era.

few days back, me and yiting, just out of no where decided to pop into karen's house to wish her on her birthday!

and so we did.

today after class at 5pm, i drove to karen's house and meet ting. then i gotta prank call karen first to make sure that she's at home.

the conversation goes something like this:

me: hey karen! i saw you in gurney! so bad la you, i wave at you and you didnt even greet me!
karen: where got? i'm not in gurney also!
got laaa!! i saw you k!! some more wave at you. then you look at me for a while, then just act like you dunno me! hmphhh~
i din go to gurney today also! i'm at home! how can you see me?
really meh? dun lie to me ah!!

okok, so sia suay, see wrong ppl.

okay. done! she's home. mission accomplished!! =P

exam entry for june 2009

seriously, they gotta improve the speed of ACCA website. i always have to wait till my neck is long just to open the webpage. dahlah wanna pay exam fees, still load so slow! @#$%^&*

i thought online payment is supposed to save our TIME. it takes me so slow to load the page that i'm sure it's faster if i actually go to the bank to buy a bankdraft!! (exaggerating abit)

anyway, this sem i'm registered for:

F7 - Financial Reporting
F8 - Audit And Assurance
F9 - Financial Management

there goes 180 GBPounds. hope the exchange rate is low when the transaction goes through!
