pantai kerachut

me and PTPL classmates saw a brochure for a team building - hiking to pantai kerachut on 6 sept (saturday). we thought, hey! something nice right? and it's 10bucks only. let's join! and so we did.

woke up as early as 6am in the morning. fetch lean along the way and we reach the entrance of bandar baru hypermarket before 7am. i was kinda shocked to see only a few people was there. lean reminded me "u know la.. malaysian wat.. sure late wan!" haha..

we waited and chit-chatted. as usual, morning complains of how regret we joined this! we should be in our bed in lala land at that time. furthermore, the weather is about to rain! what a nice weather to sleep! =S

when the lecturers arrive, we were divided into groups. i'm in team 8, together with chuileng, peishing and yiwei. others were all separated. then we started our journey!!

i sat with lean in the bus. we were given a bottle of mineral water and a packet of bihun for our lunch later.

only when the bus stopped, we realised we are actually going to hike from Taman Negara to Pantai Kerachut. =.='' oops! forget to mention we skipped the briefing for this trip the day before. thus, we dunno anything about the trip. the akibat for being lazy.

we were then divided into groups again as we gotta hike up as a group. hooichin managed to "betray" her team and joined team 8! pembelot! haha

so we start hiking about 8.30am. the routes are already muddy and slippery as it was raining the night before. once we are in the "jungle", it started to rain. it's not jus drizzling but those BIG BIG drops. we were all soaking wet in less than 30 seconds. but we never give up! we continue to hike and hike and hike... until we reach pantai kerachut about 1 hour later!

once we are there, each team are given a few IQ questions. you can see all of us brainstorming under the rain (some under the umbrella). we were then asked to leave our things in a huge hut and rest.

some of us already got hungry after the hike. wat to do. takda stamina wat. burn all the energy d! haha. we shared and ate our bihun that was supposed to be our lunch! to our horror, everyone's bihun turned into bihun soup! the rain actually went into our backpack and wet everything inside! luckily i kept mine and peishing's in a plastic bag. so we ate bihun while the others ate bihun soup! hehe

then it was game time! there are four stations. and team 8 will be competing with team 7 for all the stations. team 7 is a well balanced girl-guy team. 4 girls and 4 guys if i'm not wrong.. while team 8 is an ALL GIRLS team. *girl power* hahaha

first game, dodge ball. we were given 36 plastics bags for each team and given about 2 minutes to change those blank plastics bags into 36 water bombs using sea water! then we were supposed to go into a court and hit each the opponent with the water bombs. those who got hit will be eliminated from the game. once the umpire said "go!" we started throwing. the guys from the opponent team showed no mercy to us, while the girls in our team juz simply throw the water bombs! no energy to hit them also! some bombs just rolled on the sand instead of flying over and hit them!! haha.. so, obviously team 7 won! we kalah teruk. all of us got kicked out, while the opponent team's members are all still standing... *team 8 hide face and run* haha.. but we didnt, we still cheered and look forward to the next game. THAT'S THE SPIRIT right? =P

then we went for the second game. there will be 2 blind, 2 dumb, 1 paralyzed, 1 no right leg, 1 no right hand and 1 no left hand. we gotta walk in a straight line to the end of the beach and back to the starting point. but now there's a problem! someone gotta carry the paralyzed girl in our team, and all the girls in our team are NOT macho.. haha.. no one can carry anyone! =S in the end, the organizers are kind enough to let our marshal, the ONE AND ONLY guy, Wai Wai to join us in the game. we were leading at first. quite far. but in the end, we lose also.. sighhh... but we still enjoyed!

then we went over for the third game. it's like a rintangan game. first we gotta limbo rock below the string, then we gotta spin 10 rounds before we skip on 1 leg for a small distance then we gotta dig the ping pong ball our from the sand cones with a SPOON. and the thing is, we can only dig one sand cone each time. and not every cone consist ping pong ball. so you need luck too in this game! the mission of this game is to get 10 ping pong balls before the opponent team! the spinning really got into us! some run directly into the sea! some just stand there and wait for the dizziness to go away. it was really funny! oh ya, team 8 won this game in the end!! WOOO HOOOOO~

then the last game. it's about saving 2 victims that has been captured. then there's 2 heroes to save them. but the heroes will be blind folded. so the heroes themselves will have 2 sidekicks to help them. but they can only help halfway. the second half of the game, the sidekicks can only shout instructions to the heroes to save their victims. did i mention that the pathway to save the victims are filled with rafia strings and no one is supposed to touch/step on the rafia strings. kisha and rajesh are the victims, hooichin and peishing are the heroes *ahem cough cough* while me and chuileng are the sidekicks. at first we walk slowly. fearing to step at the rafia strings and marks will be deducted. but later, we ended up just simply step at the rafia strings. as long as we reach our victim's place. HAHAHA. we won this round too! WAY TO GO TEAM 8!!

we finished our games early. as most of the teams are still playing. so while waiting for them, we took our lunch earlier, the bihuns again. i shared bihun with peishing again while others eat their bihun soup again. haha. this chuileng got homecooked bihun from someone lor *wink wink* so bahagia.. and it's such a BIG PORTION.. all of us are jealous. hahaha then we got nothing to do. so picture time!

as we are all tired after hiking and games and photo taking, and our sport shoes still soaking wet!, we decided to pay rm10 for the boat ride back to taman negara. i think 70% took the boat ride home. only 30% bersemangat ones decided to hike back again. okay, i admit i am part of the 70% who are LAZY! haha

while they are enjoying the dolphines and the mabuk laut boat experience, hooichin, lean and me got so bored at the pier. we actually took our sport shoes and socks out to dry them under the sun! haha.. and of course, more vain photos!

after waiting about half an hour, the boat finally arrived. and ours was a SPEEDBOAT. not those lau beh boats like the one peishing, chuileng and yiwei took earlier. =P

i went on a speedboat before when i was in thailand, but i tell u, this is SO MUCH faster!! even faster than the jet ski ride with Aman the last time!! our butt actually hurts so much... and the sea water keep splashing into the boat and wet us non stop!! and along the ride, we saw a few natural rocks that looks like the shape of rabbit, turtle and crocodile! too bad we couldnt stop to take a photo as the sea was to choppy. i couldnt even take out my camera. my hands are too busy gripping the railings!

once we reach there, we meet up with the rest. then our team marshal, gave us a souvenir for this trip and we took a final team 8 photo before we were back on the bus, exhausted!
