you jump, i jump

The ever famous quote from the movie Titanic in... *search in google and gasp* 1997!! 13 years ago!

Tv2 was playing the movie at 10.30pm yesterday. I was really tired after my langkawi trip, so I decided to skipped the movie. But tonight I just decided to watch the movie all over again. So I hunted for my VCD (that time no DVD yet) and played the 3 hours movie divided into 3 discs.

I think James Cameron is a superly good director and writer. The emotions and music and everything is just so right for the movie. This movie is really two thumbs up even after 13 years!!

delayed post

Just a summary....

22 October 2009

Had a meet up with ACCA gang in Coffee Island. Celebrated KarenP's 20th Bday too. Had the funniest charade game ever. LipHoo our hero! And the game where we criss-crossed each other's name and have to shout if we shared the same flower in cards. LeanLean was superly excited! Hahahaha...

everyone except jasvin and liphoo

26 October 2009

Went to pump petrol as usual. Had a weird incident. First the credit card couldnt get through halfway through the system. Then the worker came and helped me to settle it. Then I continued to pump petrol normally. Suddenly the petrol overflow! I panicked and called the worker but he was busy with another customer! DAMN! And I dont dare to take out the pump. Scared explode k!! LOL I know I'm exaggerating but really scared ma. What to do, girls suck in this kind of stuff. Hahaha Luckily the taxi man at the next counter helped me to pull out the pump. Arigato! The overflow petrol costed me another rm5 bucks to my bill!!! T_T

29 October 2009
Joined PeiShing and ChuiLeng for the movie Jennifer's Body. I thought it was a normal high school teenage movie but it turned out to be a 'devilish' movie. LOL had fun though the movie wasnt extremely nice. Overall, the show is okay.

30 October 2009
LiChing came back from AIMST for the weekend. We met up together with MekMek and Rebecca in Crepe's Cottage. Ate the yummy Mango Cup!! Rebecca brought along her friend Jason. Went to Coffee Island after that and MekMek's friend, Tomyam came along too. Played bluff. MekMek and Tomyam are god of cards! They won every round! NOT FAIR! We forgot to take pictures that night! :(

1 November 2009
Loy Loy Krathong, Loy Loy Krathong!
Wat Buppharam held the Loy Krathong festival. Went there with ChuiLeng and Peishing. ChuiLeng's Sister and friend, Summer joined us later on too.

4 November 2009
Dated YiTing and went for Michael Jackson's This Is It. One movie worth watching. Afterall, it's Michael Jackson's last concert that he did not manage to perform. Sad :( RIP

Oh, before that, I just arrived Gurney Plaza when my heels strap decided to break! Have to rushed and call YiTing to take me a pair of slipper before she leave the house. Too bad she has already left her house, but she's very kind! She went back home to take for me a pair of slipper. She's my saviour for the day! Thank you! Muaks

windows movie maker

Today, I found out that I actually have Windows Movie Maker in my computer! LOL

Being curious, I tried playing with it. I do have a few short clips taken via camera or handphone, but nothing much I can do with it. Or maybe because I'm way too noob, I only know how to do those easy easy things. Like cut and paste. HAHAHA So I ended up taking continuous photo shots that me and my friends took many many months back ago, and try to make it a short clip.

So this is the pathetic attempt making a short video from photos by... *ahem ahem* Director Tan!

I know I know... one word: LOUSY! The music doesnt go with the video. Nothing special. Just cut cut cut paste paste paste... But it's an achievement for me! I made a video!!! hahaha

At least I enjoyed half an hour playing with it. *self satisfaction* LOL

I'm just bored.. and I just need something to update my half dead blog!

holiday ended

college starts tomorrow! i am now supposed be tune my holiday mood to NERD mood. acca acca acca acca acca acca acca acca acca acca acca acca

i did nothing much after my trip to the dentist on saturday, 27 june. my cheeks got so swollen that i got to stay at home. so no hanging out with friends or family. furthermore, i'm feeling so lazy lately. so seriously lazy that i dont even want to start movie-marathoning! i prefer to just sit down, online, walk around, babysit Yiu-Shern a little here and there...

so my daily routine is wake up, rot, sleep, wake up, rot, sleep, wake up,......

a week later, i'm felt so sick staying at home! =S i tried to plan for a movie outing on last friday but friends are all busy. T_T i ended up rotting at home again. lol

lucky for me that saturday is a busy day for the family. it's little nephew Yiu-Shern's fullmoon!! i get to go out at night for a dinner at Palm's Village. the food was nice! yummy!

picture stolen from shu-yin

sunday night, i went to meet up with chuileng, peishing and lean at coffee island.

our drinks

we had fun. we sat, we chatted, and we played cards. we werent gambling! we were just playing Chor Tai Dee and Bluff. no money involved!

then today, my last day of my holiday, went out for a movie, Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinasours, with lean and peishing.

**The sub-zero heroes from the worldwide blockbusters “Ice Age” and “Ice Age: The Meltdown” are back, on an incredible adventure...for the ages. Scrat is still trying to nab the ever-elusive nut (while, maybe, finding true love); Manny and Ellie await the birth of their mini-mammoth, Sid the sloth creates his own makeshift family by hijacking some dinosaur eggs; and Diego the saber-toothed tiger wonders if he’s growing too “soft” hanging with his pals. On a mission to rescue the hapless Sid, the gang ventures into a mysterious underground world, where they have some close encounters with dinosaurs, battle flora fauna run amuck – and meet a relentless, one-eyed, dino-hunting weasel named Buck. -gsc.com.my**

the movie is funny! the jokes starts from the very beginning till the end non-stop! although you would know that this type of movie always end with a happy ending, but how the movie goes towards that happy ending is pretty nice. not boring and too predictavle. it's definately a nice movie to relax and have a great laugh! a rating of 4.0/5.0.

okay. back to my day. and i'm supposed to clean my room this holiday but somehow i forgot. okay okay i didnt forget. i just didnt manage to do that. so today after movie, i was rather determined to clean my room! clear my wardrobe and rearrange my clothes. clear the mess on my table, change my bedsheets....

but up until now. 11.38pm, i only managed to clear my wardrobe.....

i think i'll leave the rest for tomorrow!

angels and demons

i've been waiting to watch this movie, but why must it be out when exams are near?!?! but in the end, i went to watch today also anyway, after dilemma-ing for days. lol after all, it's been really really loooooooooong since my last movie in the cinema k! the last movie was.... *thinking*... SHOPAHOLIC! and that was 2 months ago!!

okay okay, back to Angels and Demons!

**The team behind the global phenomenon The Da Vinci Code returns for the highly anticipated Angels & Demons, based upon the bestselling novel by Dan Brown. Tom Hanks reprises his role as Harvard religious expert Robert Langdon, who once again finds that forces with ancient roots are willing to stop at nothing, even murder, to advance their goals. Ron Howard again directs the film, which is produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, and John Calley. The screenplay is by David Koepp and Akiva Goldsman.

When Langdon discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati - the most powerful underground organization in history - he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization's most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. When Langdon learns that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable Illuminati time bomb, he jets to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican's only hope for survival. -gsc.com.my**

the movie is nice! it's true that i've already know the ending before i even start watching the movie (because i read the book), but still somehow, the movie is not boring at all. it keeps me awake and excited the whole time, following the Illuminati Trail, finding the "preferities" and the anti-matter. a rating of 4.5/5.0!

of course if you compare the book and the movie, the book would be much better. you can really, i repeat, REALLY follow the trail of Illuminati (as the book explains more so you are more into it!). And Victoria Vetra is so much smarter and with more plots in the book compared to the movie!

the movie is nice, but the book is seriously better! i think i'm going to read it again after my exams! you should too you know if you have time! =D

my thursday to sunday

thursday
been looking forward for tuesday since the day we planned about it. we actually delayed it for nearly a month already. due to many many important incidents like shu-min going out with sis, peishing going to kl, chuileng bf's bday, lean got dentist appointment, etc..

we got fed up that in the end, we just set it thurs, and asks everyone to cancel off other appointments! we dont care! LOL

so here we are in REDBOX!

karenP singing

as usual, we had so much fun singing *ahem* more to dancing n screaming.

six of us. jas . lean . shu-min . peishing . chuileng . karen

after exam, definately another round =)

friday
after a day of fun, here comes a day of disaster. library day. T_T

went to meet up with karenP, ranjini n jasvin. and started our day, boringly staring at notes and books.

*yawn*

halfway through, there's this world's book day or something like that happening in disted libary. we were given a form to fill in a form about the book we are studying; the title, author and what have we learnt from the book. then we are entitled for a lucky draw!!

*inside joke*
something funny happened in between anyway. ranjini's 'go go go'. lmao

and this is what i got from the lucky draw:

pencil case that comes with a pencil and faber castell eraser

not bad also la huh? our lucky draw gifts:

clockwise: ranjini - the art of listening cards. jasvin - notepad karen - pen shu-min - pencil case

so studying in the library has a benefit too right? ;P

saturday
woke up really late. nearly noon. had lunch as my breakfast at 2pm. wonder around the house for a while, then off we go to Penang Hill.

@ the entrance

can u see that my sister is 8 months pregnant?

this is just my 2nd time here in Penang Hill. the first time was when i was about 10 years old.

we took the tram up. by the time we reach the top of Penang Hill, it was already 5.45pm! we walked around a little. and off we go to our destination. David Brown's.

the menu

yeap, all the way up just for dinner there.

@ David Brown's

the pond

i love the table

@ the fireplace

yin inside the restaurant

the food was served really quick too! we took our orders, and in 15 minutes time, all the food was ready!

from left: Chicken Ala King, Chicken & Mushroom Pie, Lamb *something*, Chicken Maryland

to me, the food wasnt exceptionally delicious, but it was okay. considered yummy! a little price though. ouch!

after dinner, we just sat down and chit chatted. the wind was chill, so it was rather nice sitting there and enjoy the breeze.

then about 10pm, we went all the way to Dato Koyah Road in town, and had Abu's mamak for supper! the curry was yummy! i love it!

sunday
did nothing at home. rot and rot. re-watched Ladder 49 with my family on dvd.

**Under the watchful eye of his mentor Captain Mike Kennedy, probationary firefighter Jack Morrison matures into a seasoned veteran at a Baltimore fire station. Jack has reached a crossroads, however, as the sacrifices he's made have put him in harm's way innumerable times and significantly impacted his relationship with his wife and kids. Responding to the worst blaze in his career, he becomes trapped inside a 20-story building. And as he reflects on his life, now Assistant Chief Kennedy frantically coordinates the effort to save him. - imdb.com**

i like this show. rather touching!! though it was a 'flashback' style movie, it wasnt confusing.

so, this is how i spend my last 4 days.

slumdog millionaire

since Slumdog Millionaire won 8 Oscar Awards, it's a must watch show isnt it? lol went to watch it with YiTing and Connie in gurney today.

**Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from slums of Mumbai, is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" Arrested on suspicion of cheating, he tells the police the incredible story of his life on streets, and of the girl he loved and lost. But what is a kid with no interest in money doing on the show? And how is it he knows all the answers? -gsc.com.my**

normally all those movies that won many many awards are very DEEP and need alot of understanding to watch (in another words, boring sleepy movies hahaha). but i think Slumdog Millionaire is one of those award winning movies that is actually nice! This movie is uniquely interesting, capturing the life of a person in India. It's a great movie! rating of 4.5/5.0 from me!

**Jai Ho song playing**
lol

ps: HAHAHAHA to the toilet scene. lol
pss: HAPPY BIRTHDAY NUFFNANG! =D

the rest of my cny '09

saturday - thanks to karenC, i have free movie tickets again! =D meet up with lean in queensbay and off we go to watch The Wedding Game.

**The story begins when Jack (Christopher Lee) publicly proposes to Sue (Fann Wong) during the live telecast of a regional awards show. Surprised but happy, Sue accepts. What the public doesn't know is that the entire love affair is an elaborate and meticulously planned ruse designed by their ambitious managers May and Tom. In reality, Jack has disliked Sue from the first day they met and vice versa!

But through it all, the two stars keep up with the charade. Just when everything is going so well, an incident has rattled some of the fans and the media. There is doubt now lingering about the authenticity of this love match.
Will they succeed in fooling a nation, and come away richer but not wiser? - gsc.com.my**

the movie is just okay okay. you practically know what the ending is going to be at the beginning of the movie. but after all, romantic movie is always nice to watch. haha. rating of 3.5/5.0.

tuesday - still have free movie tickets. so me, shu-yin and peter went for Bride Wars.

**Liv (Kate Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway), best friends since childhood, are always there for each other, through good times and bad. Even their respective bridal engagements happen within hours. Together they plan their weddings, each to take place at New York’s ultimate bridal destination, the Plaza Hotel. But a clerical error and subsequent clash in wedding dates pits the two brides against each other in a competition that quickly escalates into all-out war. -gsc.com.my**

I think this movie is quite nice. it really shows the bond of friendship. though we may be selfish at times, but best friends stuck around for each other all the time. a rating of 4.0/5.0. i couldn't recognise Kate Hudson at first. i love her in 'How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days'.

mum and ah yee went shopping while waiting for our movie to finish. then we went to dragon-i! i love the siu long pau.
