Part 3: South Africa - Rhodes Memorial & Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden

29th december 2009
we went over to Rhodes Memorial, situated somewhere near Signal Hill.

even the trees at the carpark look so nice already

it is said that this Mr Rhodes have the best view of cape town. he used to come up here and think when he was still alive. after he died, they decide to build this place in memory of him.

now you know why. imagine sitting there overlooking cape town. WOW!

some random hole for me to meditate lol

sat on the lion... hyeah hyeahhhhh

no wonder it is said that Mr Rhodes have the best view of cape town. it is fantastic! capetown is endless. the city is endless. the sky is endless....

after Rhodes Memorial, we went over to Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden.

bought tickets....

we were first greeted by stone carvings on our left and right.. these are some of the nice ones...

daddy . me . mr seal

erm, ignore me

daddy . mummy . baby

we then started walking around the botanical garden.

at first we think it was just ordinary, just like our penang botanical garden, except cleaner and no monkeys stealing/attacking you.

maybe they have plants that we dont have it here in malaysia. but they all look the same to me. all green...

except for this plant.

they look like small red goldfish! cuteeeee~~~~

like i said, we were quite bored at first, until later on we start seeing beautiful sceneries.

the botanical garden in SA is DIFFERENT from penang's.

SEE! the sceneries are waaaay better!

river path

even ducks enjoy the botanical garden!

and you can have the view of cape town from the botanical garden too.

we totally enjoyed the botanical garden. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT? just a garden and we enjoy it. imagine how beautiful it is inside!!

too bad it started to rain at about 2 something in the afternoon. we couldnt do anything except to take shelter in a restaurant inside the botanical garden.

piggy food

but the rain started to be more heavy. we then decided to just get a quick walk around the statue garden before we leave.

********to be continued................

PS: you can actually see the sunburn on my hands. look properly.
